Scattered waves droning,
deafening silence in-between.
Beacons for damned beings flickering,
a weak pulse in the darkness.
Before enlightened, illuminated by reddish rays,
the horizon - it paints itself in the sand,
only scratching the eyes and those grains,
the deep roar reaches,
right into the heart - right into the soul.

Sparrows drenched with salt,
escape with the thirsty wind,
sprayed with salt even more,
as the ocean stretches its arms into the sky.

I saw the mirror of the world on those shores,
heard wretched and half-spoken words by unseen birds.
Feathers of coal, from the ivory mine,
black salt and sweat - melting,
we spoiled our breath,
against the droning.
